Echinacea Root 1000 – 60 Capsules

Native American Indian tribes were the first to use the echinacea root for a variety of ailments and, until the 1800's, it was one of their best-kept secrets. Around 1870, a German physician formulated a medicine containing echinacea that became popular in European households, but it was not until the 1900's that echinacea gained recognition amongst healers in the west.

As interest in echinacea increased, many scientific studies have been conducted with the various species. There has been much debate as to which species is best and which plant part to use e.g. root, tops or plant juice. Echinacea purpurea root has been chosen for this product because it has been well documented and researched in various studies.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Echinacea purpurea extract dry concentrate 267 mg from dry root 1 g.
Standardised to total phenols (sum of caftaric acid, chicoric acid, chlorogenic acid and echinacoside) 10.66 mg per capsule.

INDICATIONS
Echinacea supports healthy immune system function and has been traditionally used in western herbal medicine to:
• relieve symptoms of common cold
• relieve symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract infections
• support general health and wellbeing.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Adults only - take one capsule three times daily for at least 8 days.
Recommended duration of use 8 weeks.
